The Grundfos Magna 1 can be used in a number of different hot water systems, including central heating, mains pumps, mixing loops, heating and air-conditioning.  It can also be installed into systems with hot water as the priority, with an external signal forcing the pump to operate according to the maximum curve, i.e. in solar-heating systems

The design, which is specifically aimed at optimising energy efficiency, has led to the MAGNA series obtaining a class ‘A’ rating in the European energy labelling scheme.
